Description

The Rivergate Tower, aka Beer Can Building, is a 454-foot tall, 31-story office building in a cylindrical shape. Built in 1988, the iconic structure is downtown Tampa's only round building. It is currently home to Sykes Enterprises and the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. In 1988, George Sugarman's infamous 36-foot tall "Exploding Chicken" sculpture was commissioned by then-tenant,NationsBank. It graced the Kennedy Boulevard entrance until 2010 when it was dismantled.
